Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills Training Group

Advance Counseling Center is pleased to offer a new DBT Skills Training Group for adults. This 90 minute group will meet once a week for 24 weeks and will cover Core Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation and Distress Tolerance.

This group is designed to help individuals struggling with interpersonal problems, impulsivity, self-harm, anger, aggressive behavior behavior, a history of suicide attempts and difficulty managing emotions. Participants will learn how to integrate coping skills into their recovery process. It is expected that all participants are currently seeing an individual therapist. *Group meets on every Thursday@ 3:00pm.

I have started two new blog sites for the fire department, one "EngineOneHasbrouck HeightsFireDepartmentnj" for the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department to discuss what our Engine Company is doing and the other is "BergenCountyFireman'sHomeAssociation" for the Bergen County Fireman's Association, which fire fighters from Bergen County, NJ, go to the Fireman's Home in Boonton, NJ to bring entertainment and cheer to our fellow brother fire fighters quarterly.
